How jackpot pots work

Everyone entering a jackpot round contributes stake — cash, site coins, or skins valued at their market price — into a shared pot. When the round closes, a provably fair random process picks one winner, weighted exactly by each entrant’s share of the total pot: a bigger contribution buys a bigger slice of the wheel (or equivalent visualization) and a proportionally higher chance of being picked, but everyone’s chance is strictly proportional to what they put in — nobody’s odds are better per dollar than anyone else’s.

Why a bigger pot doesn’t change your odds by itself

A common misconception is that jackpot odds get worse as more people join a round. What actually matters is your share of the pot, not the number of other entrants — if the pot grows because a few large stakes joined, your fixed-dollar stake’s odds fall; if it grows because many small stakes joined, the effect is the same, proportionally. The number of entrants is irrelevant on its own; only the ratio of your stake to the total pot value determines your odds.

Jackpot and skin value

On sites where skins (rather than pure cash/coins) can be staked into a jackpot pot, the pot’s total value depends on how the site prices those skins — usually against a third-party marketplace reference price. If a site’s internal skin valuation differs from what you could get selling that same skin elsewhere, it effectively changes the real odds math above, since your “stake” and the pot’s real-world value may not match the numbers shown in the game. This is worth checking on any skin-based jackpot specifically, separate from the proportional-odds math itself.
